Dog Show Infectious Disease PCR panel

dog and cat assay data sheet

Dog show infectious disease PCR panel

Test code:
P0051 - This panel detects the following canine pathogens potentially transmissible between dogs at dog shows or canine athletic events:

The Zoologix dog show panel is a powerful, fast, cost-effective tool to facilitate diagnosis of these infectious diseases of dogs.

This panel does not include tests for pathogens against which show dogs are normally vaccinated. Similarly, vector-borne diseases and internal parasites are not included on this panel because it is assumed that show dogs and venues will be free of internal and ectoparasites. If vector-borne diseases are of concern, see our tickborne disease panel.

Utilities:

  • Help prevent the spread of these pathogens among valuable show dogs
  • Help confirm the cause of disease symptoms in show dogs
  • Support rapid selection of the proper treatment and/or quarantine regimen

Specimen requirement: nasal swab + urogenital swab + fecal swab

See our shipping instructions for information on packaging and shipping these samples.

Turnaround time: 3 business days

Methodology: Qualitative real time PCR and qualitative reverse transcription coupled real time PCR

Normal range: Nondetected
