Canine breeding and dog show infectious disease PCR panel

Test code:
P0051 - This panel detects the following canine pathogens potentially transmissible between dogs at shows and other canine events and when breeding:

The Zoologix canine breeding and dog show panel is a powerful, fast, cost-effective tool to facilitate diagnosis of these infectious diseases of dogs.

This panel does not include tests for pathogens against which dogs are normally vaccinated. Similarly, vector-borne diseases and internal parasites are not included on this panel because it is assumed that breeding and show dogs will be free of internal parasites and ectoparasites. If vector-borne diseases are of concern, see our tickborne disease panel.

Utilities:

  • Help prevent the spread of these pathogens among valuable breeding and show dogs
  • Help confirm the cause of disease symptoms in breeding and show dogs
  • Support rapid selection of treatments and/or quarantine regimens
