Feline respiratory PCR panel

Test code: P0020 - Feline respiratory panel includes qualitative detection and differentiation of the following feline respiratory pathogens using various PCR protocols:

• Bordetella bronchiseptica
• Chlamydophila felis
• Feline calicivirus (FCV)
• Feline herpesvirus 1 (FHV-1; also known as feline rhinotracheitis virus)
• Influenza type A
• Mycoplasma felis

Vets frequently see generalized respiratory symptoms in cats that could be caused by a number of different viral or bacterial agents. Treatment and quarantine protocols differ among these pathogens, and can be costly and stressful for animals and owners.
