Canine diarrhea PCR panel

Test code: P0022 - The canine diarrhea PCR panel includes qualitative detection and differentiation of the following canine diarrheagenic pathogens using various PCR protocols:

• Campylobacter screen
• Canine parvovirus
• Clostridium difficile
• Cryptosporidium screen
• Giardia screen
• Lawsonia intracellularis
• Salmonella screen

Vets frequently see diarrhea in dogs that could be caused by a number of different viral or bacterial agents. Treatment and quarantine protocols differ among these pathogens, and can be costly and stressful for animals and owners.

All seven assays are run from one fecal sample, eliminating multiple sampling requirements.
